The video editor "convert" button is hard to guess (for editing a video). Could be reworded, by the context and placed elsewhere.

If you are converting avi format to mp4 to save videos on an external drive to use with the Playstation 4 Media Player, avi format will not work, video playback with audio is not in time as viewed. avi will work on nextbook tablets.

It's really nice to find free software that does what it claims and doesn't load any junk on your computer. I used this to capture and save a streaming video presentation. Extremely clear and easy interface and process. Couldn't be easier.

With all the scam software that claims to do streaming video capture, then either loads your PC with garbage and/or requires a paid upgrade to make it work properly, this software is almost unbelievably honest and functional and totally free with full capability.

Free. Intuitive interface and easy to use. Sensible defaults, easy to change them if necessary. Good quality recording. Unlimited recording time in free version. You can record part of the screen, the whole screen, just audio or from your webcam. Records sound as well as video (which another one I tried didn't).
Cons
Only records in WMV format. A converter is provided but this is an online converter that uses Java. You can use something like Any Video Converter if you want to convert to another format.
Summary
Start the program; click record; select the screen area you want; a 3 second countdown appears and you are off. Pause or stop whenever you want. Simple as that. Great free software.

This little software recorded what was on my computer screen plus allowed me to crop what I wanted to record with such ease. The video is in WMV format while other like software use AVI which takes up a lot of disk space.
Cons
None so far just got it today.
Summary
I was really surprise by this software and the additional software that I declined did not install automatically and that is a good thing plus my homepage did not change.
It is really free and has no time limits. Fabulous!
