good concept &potential but frustrating & disappointing

Pros
Delta graph is a great concept - can change colors, symbols, line thicknesses etc that you expect from a scientific graphing program. Can import of other images (like jpgs and tiff) right onto the graph presentations. Runs on both PC and MaC
Cons
Buggy, crashes for no apparent reason (I have been using it for years, so this is not a single version issue) - the legends sometimes appear miles away from your graph,, and it can not longer directly export to tiff or jpg - no tech support
Summary
At about 200-300$, not cheap certainly, You expect some basic tech support, a stable program and the advertised features for which you bought the program to work - and things to get better over time, not to decline, which is a bad sign.
Get 2 stars because it is still better than a lot of what is out there
Summary - good concept, good potential, but in practice frustrating and disappointing.
Very stable

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've been beta-testing this for some time, and the DG team have been very responsive. They've ironed out all the bugs I ran across and then some. This continues to be a very powerful and easy to use graphing application that produces great quality charts, limited only by one's imagination and artistic sense. Most of the recent bugs I've run across were related to cross-platform issues, as we have a number of people running DG on PC platforms and I use a Mac. These have been fixed.
Much improved

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've tested beta versions of this for months and I've used the original version for 10 years, so I know that it includes many new features and bug fixes. I've compared this to other chart/graphing packages and am convinced this is by far the best. Very high-quality graphics and an easy to use interface.
Exceptionally thorough graphing program

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
There is nothing like it for the Mac for creating technical graphs and display of data, with professional level output quality which is the aspect lacking in otherwise comparable graphics applications. Its number crunching is rudimentary, so for that I use Excel first, but its curve fitting is excellent. Some features are not intuitive to apply, but one can create novel graphing for unusual data that isn't possible with other applications. Unfortunately the upgrade costs increased sharply when it was sold to SPSS, and I think that may have decimated its user base, at least for the Mac.
This version seems to work well in OS X.
