• Good utility

  Pros

  Works fine, allows FTP encrypted backups to your own website domain as well as backups to local area workstations. Can be scheduled to run via Windows Scheduler. Has options to run and perhaps shut down programs before the backup is run. Several options for how to backup up. Can send a backup log email to track how the backup went.

  Cons

  Doesn't seem to have an option to override and backup 'locked' files.

  in theory, it's easy to use

  hard to set uo the set up for Tasks doesn't seem to stick, have to run backups manually the email confirmation is obscure to set up

  Easy to Install. Interface fairly simple to use.

  Cons

  Scheduling DOES NOT WORK.

  Summary

  Tried every which way to make scheduling work. Logged in during scheduled task, etc. etc.Task Scheduler shows process ran. But program never executes back up. Don't want to gripe about a free product. But in current form, it's useless.

  Free and complete backup software (ftp backup, encryption, scheduler...)

  Kinda hard to figure out at first but it easy to use once you get used to it .

  Pros

  Acebackup contains all functions I need and it is very stable. It is more powerfull than 2 other apps for which I payed about 30 USD

  Some functions are a little odd implemented. It took some time until I understood how to use them

  Easy to download!

  Cons

  Froze. Would not run scheduled tasks. Difficult interface. Never got a "test" to even work. Deleted it after an hour of frustration.

  Pros

  Easy to install and easy to use. The scheduling was easy to arrange.

  Summary

  I like the program because it backups up what you want and not an image of the drive or just the files it thinks should be backed up.
