  this crap byproduct from microsoft still exist because of stupid netflix. it only lingers around like a dried up poop on a dog's behind. everytime i play a movie on netflix..."plugin-failure". numerous time uninstalling/reinstalling, countless ways of removing and installing. still the same crap. NETFLIX get your head out of your ass and ditch this crapware

  Pros

  I need Silverlight to watch Netflix. Not really a pro.

  Cons

  Always invokes the discrete (high-end) graphics card on my MacBook, increasing head output needlessly and quickly quaffing my battery. Very inefficient even on the simplest of tasks.

  Don't use it unless you have to.

  jerky picture most of the time -

  Cons

  jerky picture not synchronized with sound, resolved temporarily with removing silverlight from Library and reinstalling, but only temporary - MacBook Pro 1,2 Mac OS X 10.6.8 - true with both Firefox and Safari - it seems to screw up the whole web page rendering process, at least on Safari, even after one has stopped fustily trying to view Netflix. I have never written a review before. I wish there were negative stars.

  Streams media within brows with acceptable definition, at least from the site I use for streaming media.

  Pity the sound control doesn't work properly in real-player

  Summary

  To me it is just a plugin like any other streaming plugin, except that it performs a tad better than the last production release of flash.

  Have to reinstall it on a regular basis to be able to watch Netflix movie downloads as sound gets chopped up or image freezes and gets out of sink.
